The New York Great Lake Research Consortium Buoy Portal

The New York Great Lake Research Consortium (GLRC) has members from both private and public universities located across New York State with interests in Great Lakes issues. Using funding provided by the Great Lakes Observing System, US EPA’s Great lakes Restoration Initiative and other sources, the GLRC has embarked on the deployment of a series of real-time monitoring stations located across New York State. The stations serve both as test beds for new instrumentation and as a source of weather and water data for teaching purposes. This web portal is the gateway into the different stations owned and operated by GLRC member organizations and their collaborating partners.

Buoy and site locations

The current location of the buoy and online data sites are marked in red . These individual sites are maintained and operated by a mix of GLRC member colleges and other scientific institutions.   The links at the left may take you outside the GLRC network to sites operated by non-GLRC institutions that may be of interest to our members.
